Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Kyiv is ready to work on a peace plan proposed by the United States and coordinated with Russia, provided its provisions can lead to a “just end to the war.” According to Bloomberg, this is mentioned in an official statement issued by the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Ukraine has received a preliminary draft of the document from Washington, which, according to the U.S. side, could help revive the stalled diplomatic process. The document has already been reviewed by Ukraine’s top leadership.

The statement from Zelensky’s administration emphasizes that the parties “agreed to work on the plan’s provisions in a way that would ensure a just conclusion to the war.” These remarks came after Zelensky met with senior U.S. generals who arrived in Kyiv for consultations.

Zelensky also expects to speak with President Donald Trump in the coming days. According to the Ukrainian side, the discussion will focus on “existing diplomatic opportunities and the key conditions necessary to achieve peace.” Bloomberg notes that this conversation may become an important step in assessing the feasibility of the peace initiatives proposed by the United States.

Thus, Kyiv has confirmed its readiness to discuss the draft plan, which Washington views as a potential basis for a future peace process. However, the document’s fate will depend on further consultations between the U.S., Russia, Ukraine, and Kyiv’s allies.
